J.W. "TICO" MCNUTT  

PhD, CoFounder, Director of Natural Science and Research

Chief mentor, mechanic, problem solver, fixer, pilot, tracker, tire changer, editor, fundraiser, and advocate.

Since he began his PhD research on African wild dogs in Botswana in 1989, Tico has mentored teams of students, scientists, community leaders, donors, legislators and government officials - collectively the thought leaders who produce and implement science to develop innovative tools that enable more effective large carnivore conservation.

Lead educator, organizer, financial controller, change maker, guidance counsellor, and dreamer.

Since 1992, Lesley has focused her acute anthropological lens on understanding how to change human behaviour.  With her curriculum development and coaching teams working with children, she has positively influenced thousands to become kids who care through Coaching Conservation's Learning from Wildlife curriculum.
