A joyful adventure for the children of Lorato House at Thamo Telele

The children of Lorato House recently had an unforgettable adventure at Natural Selections Thamo Telele camp; a day filled with discovery, learning, and laughter. This outing featured engaging activities such as horse riding, a game drive, and an inspiring conservation program presented by Coaching Conservation.

The excitement began as the children arrived and took turns riding horses. While some showed a hint of fear initially, their confidence grew with each passing moment. Soon, they were helping to groom the horses and learning their names, their faces lighting up with joy. It was a heartwarming scene, witnessing these young ones form bonds with the gentle animals and overcome their initial hesitations.

Following the horse-riding session, the children gathered for an elephant lesson led by Coaching Conservation. They were fascinated by the insights into elephant behavior and learned how humans and these magnificent creatures can coexist harmoniously. The children’s curiosity and enthusiasm were evident as they absorbed the lessons and asked thoughtful questions.

Next the children unleashed their energy during field games with laughter echoing across the open space as they played with balls and bonded with one another. This playful interlude brought smiles to everyone’s faces and underscored the joy of simply being outdoors.

The grand finale of the day was a game drive where the children explored the wild and observed diverse wildlife in their natural habitats. The experience was both educational and awe-inspiring leaving the children with a deeper appreciation for the beauty and importance of nature.

As the day came to a close, the children returned home inspired and enriched. Their laughter, newfound knowledge, and commitment to caring for wildlife, themselves, and one another marked the success of this special adventure. This memorable day at Thamo Telele will remain etched in their hearts reminding them of the wonders of nature and the importance of conservation.

Through this incredible journey, the children of Lorato House have taken their first steps toward becoming stewards of the environment ready to make a difference in the world around them.
